There are moments when design goes beyond form and function—when it begins to awaken the senses even before an experience begins. With Turkish Slice, we set out to explore this delicate space between visual beauty and emotional anticipation.
Our inspiration was drawn from the rich cultural essence of Turkish artistry—where patterns, textures, and presentation are never merely decorative, but an integral part of the experience itself. In many ways, Turkish culture celebrates the art of dining as a ritual, where every detail contributes to the enjoyment of the moment. We wanted to capture that same spirit and translate it into a piece that elevates even the simplest dish.
As we developed the concept, we asked ourselves a simple question: Can a plate make you feel the taste before the first bite?
This question became the foundation of Turkish Slice.
The design was intentionally crafted to balance elegance with subtle intrigue. Its refined contours and carefully considered composition are meant to frame food in a way that enhances its visual appeal—drawing the eye inward, inviting curiosity, and gently stimulating the appetite. The piece does not overpower what it holds; instead, it complements and elevates it.
In the glazing and finishing process, we focused on achieving a surface that interacts beautifully with light—soft reflections that add depth and dimension, creating a sense of quiet luxury. Every detail is thoughtfully executed to ensure that the plate itself becomes part of the dining narrative.
