There is a certain beauty in the things that nature creates without intention. A stone shaped by years of weathering, sand carried by the wind, or a grain of earth held quietly in our hands—these simple elements remind us that beauty does not always need to be polished or perfected.
Sometimes, the most meaningful beauty is found in its rawest form.
This was the thought that inspired us to create Fresh Grain.
As we explored the textures of the natural world, we became fascinated by the surfaces that surround us every day but are often overlooked. The roughness of stone, the softness of sand, the uneven surface of natural earth—each carries a story written by time, movement, and the forces of nature.
We wanted to bring this feeling of the earth to the dining table.
The colour palette of Fresh Grain draws inspiration from natural landscapes. Earthy tones create a sense of warmth and calm, reflecting the colours of soil, stone, sand, and dried grains. These shades were intentionally kept subtle and organic, allowing the collection to feel timeless rather than influenced by passing trends.
Texture became equally important in our creative journey.
Instead of creating a perfectly smooth surface, we embraced a slightly rough and tactile finish. When touched, the surface invites us to experience the material in a more intimate way. It reminds us that ceramics begin with something incredibly simple—the earth itself.
From raw clay, through the hands of artisans, and finally into a finished piece, the journey of ceramic-making is ultimately a transformation of nature. We wanted Fresh Grain to retain a sense of that origin, allowing the material’s natural character to remain visible and felt.
Yet, while inspired by the raw beauty of the earth, the collection was designed for modern life. We sought to find a balance between natural simplicity and contemporary functionality, creating pieces that feel equally at home in a quiet family meal or a thoughtfully arranged modern dining setting.
Through Fresh Grain, we hope to reconnect us with something fundamental: the ground beneath our feet and the natural world from which so much of our lives begin.
Every meal is, in its own way, a moment of connection. We gather around a table, share food, exchange stories, and create memories. By bringing earthy textures and natural tones into this space, we hope to make that connection feel even more tangible.
Because sometimes, to create something fresh and meaningful, we need only to return to where everything begins—the earth.
