From the very beginning of conceptualising Potter’s Art, our entire team has been thinking every day about how to blend ceramic tableware with elements of nature. What may seem like a simple idea is, in reality, a deeply challenging journey when it comes to bringing it to life on ceramic pieces.
First of all, as is well known, the colours of ceramic glazes can differ greatly between the initial application stage and the final result after firing. It is much like shooting with a film camera — until each frame is developed, you can never be entirely certain of how the photograph will turn out. Yet it is precisely this sense of anticipation that makes both film photography and ceramic creation so captivating, filling the process with imagination and expectation. This anticipation is not only a beautiful feeling in artistic creation, but also leads to a profound sense of achievement when the vision is finally realised.
