There are moments by the sea when time seems to slow. Standing by the shoreline, we often find ourselves drawn to the quiet rhythm of the water—waves arriving gently, one after another, leaving behind soft ripples that shimmer under the sunlight. In those moments, the sea speaks not through sound, but through movement and light.
The inspiration for Sea Ripple Blue began with this simple yet profound observation. As we watched the ocean surface shift and breathe, we noticed how every ripple carried a quiet harmony. No two patterns were ever exactly the same, yet together they formed a continuous and calming flow. It reminded us that nature’s beauty lies not in perfection, but in its organic, ever-changing rhythm.
When translating this vision into ceramic form, we sought to capture the delicate movement of water. The concentric patterns were carefully hand-glazed to echo the expanding circles that appear when a gentle breeze touches the sea. Each layer of blue and turquoise was chosen to reflect the different moods of the ocean—from the soft glow of shallow waters to the deeper tones of distant waves.
The glazing process itself became part of the artistic journey. Just as the sea never repeats the same ripple twice, every piece in the Sea Ripple Blue collection carries its own subtle character. The glossy surface allows light to dance across the curves, creating a sense of motion even when the piece is still. Through this interplay of colour, texture, and reflection, we hoped to bring a quiet sense of calm into everyday life.
More than a design, Sea Ripple Blue represents our desire to bring the tranquility of nature to the table. In the midst of busy modern routines, we believe that dining should remain a moment of pause—a time when people gather, reconnect, and appreciate the simple beauty surrounding them.
Through this collection, we invite others to share in that experience. Each piece carries a reflection of the sea’s gentle rhythm, reminding us that serenity can be found even in the smallest details of daily living.
